Help: Self-application
The following infomation is for our clients who have brought Vinyl Letters and have lost the instruction sheet.

Go Karting
First.
- Ensure the site is clean and free from grease before application.
There are two common methods, but in general the wet method is preferable for large scale or complicated applications.
Dry Method
- Remove the backing tape (you can position it first by ‘hinging’ the lettering in the proper position with masking tape before removal of the backing tape)
- Lightly position the Letter onto the surface to be lettered
- Firmly squeegee the Letter down
- Peel the application tape slowly back on itself
- For application onto the inside of car rear windows, it is advisable to avoid applying the letters over the heated window elements. However, the elements provide a useful ‘ruler’ to ensure the lettering is applied straight!
Wet Method
- Lightly dab soap suds onto the surface to be lettered
- Remove the backing tape
- Float the Letter onto the suds for positioning
- Squeegee moisture/air from under the Letter
- Peel the application tape slowly back on itself
For permanent removal of lettering, apply direct heat from a hair dryer and gently peel off. Letters are, unfortunately, not re-usable after this removal method.
