Believe it or not, but the BIGGEST mistake is not having ANY vehicle graphics! A large number of customers, often reluctantly, decide to have their rear windows sign written, but over 70% of them come back for more. Is it addictive? Maybe . . . but it does work. Just look at our testimonials.
The second biggest mistake is probably what is known in the trade as 'TMI' - Too Much Information (other acronyms available!) Multiple logos are best left to Formula 1 cars and vehicles just aren't suitable for bullet points. Those belong in brochures. Whilst an experienced vehicle sign writer can take pertinent information from a corporate brochure and use it for vehicle graphics, the designs for these two media are completely different and should be designed separately.
One thing vehicle graphics do have in common with other media is that it is best to stick to clear, easy to read fonts. Too many fonts cause confusion, as do script type fonts. Colour is important. Yellow is never going to be easy to read on a white vehicle, and black on a window is all but invisible. Sometimes your brand colours might need to be adapted to fit your existing vehicle colour.
So, if you would like to try vehicle signwriting as part of your marketing plan, how do you proceed?
You could dip a toe in the water by trying a rear window graphic (£35-40, easy to self-apply). Or ask us for a free design. Just email the make, model, year and colour of your vehicle, together with any logos, wording or other information and we will produce you a design like this . . which might just turn into this!
