This is a common question from customers returning from a year or longer ago. Yes, with a few exceptions, we do keep all our artwork going back to 2005 when we started in business.
We use a file back up system called LiveDrive and we have three networked computers here. As there are now four of us, it does mean that we also have to sometimes hook up a laptop as well, but mostly at least one of us is hand finishing jobs in preparation for despatch.
So how do we ever find files? Trust me, on a weekly basis you will hear one of us muttering 'where did I file that?'. The key is in choosing the customer name. Often it is easy - a business name works well. A registered charity name. But what if it is an individual who wants something for themselves? Or a volunteer group for the local Church? These are the ones that challenge us.
The 'one-off' project that turns into a regular requirement or add on.
