Being mobile sign writers, we do have to turn our hand to weather forecasting quite often. Understandably, our clients want an idea of when their vehicle will be signed - and we need to know where they will be working on that day! Many of our customers are local tradesmen, and they hop from job to job. Some are at the same customer for a whole day, but many, like plumbers can visit up to four customers a day - with us in tow!
And of course we have to plan our work time. No point being in the workshop on a dry day, then having nothing to do when it is wet!
For long lasting results, it is best to sign write when the air and vehicle are dry. Temperature of less than 5c make the vinyl brittle and prone to tearing, as well as causing the adhesive to become, well, less sticky.
Temperatures over 20c can cause the vinyl to stretch, but, like high winds, we can often work around this.
So tomorrow, we think it will be wet, so have a full day of banner making planned. Lets hope it doesn't rain in SW19, so we can listen along to the tennis whilst we work!
